Day Trip From Fes to Azrou and the Cedar

Day Trip From Fes to Azrou and the Cedar

(0 Reviews)

This excursion will begin after breakfast to Azrou, an important Berber population located within the Middle Atlas. Best known of the city itself are the cedar forests that surround it. Azrou contains a population of 50,000. The most famous inhabitant of these woods is the Great Cedar Gouraud, the largest cedar oldest in the region. Unfortunately, he died a few years ago by a plague of pine moths. Very close to the place of Cedar Gouraud you can find souvenirs, soft drinks and peanuts to feed the hundreds of Gibraltar monkeys who live in the area, and also visit the small medina where you can find shops and workshops, wood and rugs.  In the afternoon you will be back in Fes.
